Grimshaw, Alberta to Seward, Nebraska.

Well its been a long time. A  very long time indeed.

In the 4th quarter on 2025 I was planning on picking up work in the US in an agronomy related field. Typically in the Mid-West. Nebraska, Ohio area.

Work entails working with crop inputs, soil sampling as well with some maintenance in the off-season. Originally the date was to move south in late February 2027 but due to unusually heavy snow and ice in late December 2026 and January 2027  the move wasn't practical so I had to decline the offer based out of Dorchester, Nebraska.

Fast forward to October 2026 we are about to embark on a journey of epic proportions. A total of 27000Km  from Grimshaw Alberta to Seward Nebraska. We're heading down on the 5th October 2026 to store the RV at the Seward/Lincoln KOA until we finally arrive in the 3rd week of January 2027.

I also have a new copilot with me! Kathi is coming down to work with me also.

Ok, now down to the RV related stuff.

I've made some changes to the Lithium charging set up. This was mostly out of necessity as we're going to be mainly boondocking enroute to Seward, I had the option of purchasing an inverter generator or running power from the pickups battery to the DC-DC charger. The latter would be the cheapest option and would reduce the weight carried.

It was really a simple task I used 16 gauge pared wire fused at the battery run under the pickup to the charger and the shunt on the battery monitor so that it could monitor the charge. New tires, a grease and a service on the F350 and we should be good to go.

Expect progress reports.
